Taroudant is located in the heart of the Souss valley and is bounded by the provinces of Essaouira, Chichaoua, and Al Haouz in the north, and the province of Ouarzazate in the east. And covers an area of 16,500 km², surrounded by two mountain ranges, the High Atlas to the north and east, the Anti-Atlas to the south, and to the west, and the plain opens onto the Atlantic.
